Florence provides a beautiful setting to spend time shopping; all of Italy’s most famous designers such as Gucci, Ferragamo, Scervino and Versace have their own retail outlet in the centre of Florence.
They are all situated along Via Tornabuoni and Via della Vigna Nuova, near to Piazza della Repubblica. However, many of the other products that you may wish to buy, like souvenirs (hand-made marbled paper, terracotta, leather, glazed ceramics and gold and silver jewellery), food and antiques can be found in specialised shops or in the local markets. San Lorenzo is in all probability the busiest in Florence and is the favourite destination of tourists; it is situated in the historical centre of the city, all around the Basilica San Lorenzo.
Here you can find some of the more designer labelled goods at low prices. Another place where you can find the most famous designers’ outlet shops is Barberino Designer Outlet. It has been designed like a small village in tuscan style, and it contains more than 90 shops, in which prices are reduced by 30% to 70%.
